Patrick Lac

Natif de l’Outaouais, Patrick Lac est auteur-compositeur et hypnotiseur de foule. Sur scène, il est une bête d’intensité et allie un univers riche et sombre de parolier à une harmonie de guitare et de voix lumineuse. Après un premier recueil de poésie (Tout se crie sur papier, 2011) et 2 albums solos (Rorschach, 2012 et Bridges, 2013), il sort gagnant du concours « UdeM en Spectacle 2013 ». Ses albums, fabriqués à la main et empruntant à la technique du dripping, ne laissent personne indifférent de Cincinnati, Ohio à Baie-Comeau, Qc. Kento Kataoka, natif de Yokohama (Japon), est un guitariste slide bouleversant de sensibilité. Ayant d’abord étudié en piano classique à Tokyo, il est maintenant bien établi à Montréal comme soliste (The Great Novel, Mike McKenna, Gallen Hartley). Nino Deram, alias Antoine Ménard, gagnant de « Ma Première Place des Arts 2014 », a plus de 350 concerts à son actif. Ses compositions fascinent, autant au clavier que derrière le micro. Rob Linton (The Parlour Steps), francophile formé en percussions jazz à Vancouver, ajoute un son délicat et puissant au groupe. Établi depuis 2014 à Montréal, ils terminent présentement l’enregistrement de leur premier album. Leur indie rock addictif a été comparé à la rencontre entre Pearl Jam et Bon Iver.

Born in Ottawa, Patrick Lac is a singer-songwriter and crowd hypnotist. A beast of intensity on stage who mixes a dark and rich universe of words with a soothing tenor voice and luminous guitar harmonies. His hand made solo albums (Rorschach – 2012 & Bridges – 2013) are Dripping inspired artworks that have attracted the attention of critics from as far as Cincinnati, Ohio to the Cote-Nord of Quebec. Kento Kataoka is a stunning Japanese slide guitar player with remarkable sensitivity. He originally studied classical piano in Tokyo, but is now well established in Montreal as a soloist (The Great Novel, Gallen Hartley, Mike McKenna). Nino Deram has played more than 350 shows around the world at the helm of a wide range of different musical projects. Be it behind a keyboard or a microphone, his compositions are fascinating, musical, and compelling. Rob Linton (The Parlour Steps, CR Avery) adds his drumming with jazz-tinged sensibilities and a driving, luscious indy-rock feel from the far reaches of the Left Coast. Established in 2014 in Montreal, they are finishing up work on their debut album. Their addictive sound has been described as Pearl Jam meets Bon Iver.
